Hi friends and family,
I’m excited to share that I’ve been given the opportunity to travel to Bali, Indonesia in September 2026 for a two-week volunteer mission trip with the Swimdo Organization, a program dedicated to protecting children from drowning through life-saving water safety education.
Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death for children, especially in communities where access to swim lessons and water safety training is limited. The area I’ll be serving is considered a high-risk drowning community, and many children are surrounded by water daily without the skills needed to stay safe.
During this trip, I will be teaching the Swimdo Curriculum, which equips children with crucial skills such as:
- Water safety awareness
- Survival swimming techniques
- CPR and rescue basics
- Confidence and safe behavior around water
Why I’m Fundraising
While I am volunteering my time, there are still costs associated with making this trip possible. I am raising funds to help cover program expenses, travel-related costs, and supplies needed to support the children I will be teaching.
One of my biggest goals is to provide 100 children with swim goggles, which will help them participate more comfortably and confidently in the water. These goggles will be purchased with donations and brought with me directly to Indonesia.
How You Can Help
If you feel led to support this mission, any donation—big or small—will make a difference. Your contribution will directly help provide safety education and equipment to children who need it most.
Even if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word.
Thank you for supporting me as I prepare for this important trip. Together, we can help save lives and create safer futures for children in Indonesia.
With gratitude,
Terry
