A deep love for the outdoors and a passion for helping others have led to a volunteer position with my local search and rescue team(Denver Colorado area not NY). This commitment involves dedicating time and energy to training and responding to calls to help him locate rescue lost or injured people in the wilderness areas. The team provides a critical service usually operating and challenging and remote conditions. Us volunteers are responsible for purchasing our own gear which includes navigation tools, specialized clothing for summer and winter, medical and Survival equipment. The cost of equipment is very significant. Any contribution will help reach the goal and ensure I can perform the duties of search and rescue safely and effectively. Don't think of these donations as supporting me as much as they are supporting the safety of the communities hikers, hunters, and explorers. If I leave the team won't any of the equipment is still in good working condition I will donate it to the team upon my departure.
