Donovan came home today after 17 days in the PICU, 3 days on acute Peds.
1 planned brain surgery for his chiaris
Malformation and 2 unplanned emergency surgeries. 3 intubations for a total of 4 days intubated.

He doesn’t remember the first week he said. But I remember.
And I prayed so hard God would not take my son away. I prayed God found it in Donovan’s story to heal so he could praise the name of Jesus.

I am here to tell you ALL thank you so much. When I prepared for Donovan’s surgery I did so without PTO to be off for more than 3 weeks.

With your help I can be off to get him back and forth to nephrology for his hypertension, who knew???
He is on meds and will be monitored .

His is a bigger boy but BMI has him at normal weight and height..

We also follow up with neurosurgery, GI for a planned endoscopy to make sure his perforation is healed. And with surgery.
We have a lot of healing . And we also have to include counseling for his near death event to talk about and process.

Lord I am thankful things moved in time…
