❤️ A Medical Update & A Very Honest Ask for Help ❤️

I wanted to take a moment to give everyone an update. I’m healing. ❤️‍🩹 I’m finally moving forward and getting ready to start cardiac rehabilitation, which is a huge step for me. After everything my body has been through, I’m incredibly grateful to still be here and working toward getting my life back.

But unfortunately, the financial aftermath of all of this has been overwhelming.

Our medical bills have now started adding up to more than $50,000. And while my income is finally starting to come back in, we are still living at a poverty-level income and trying desperately to catch up.

Right now, the hardest part isn’t just the medical debt—it’s being able to afford the medications and ongoing care that literally keeps me alive, while also trying to keep a roof over our heads; and being able to eat decently.

Our housing payments fell behind while I was sick and unable to work to add to our income, and we are now fighting incredibly hard to save our home and avoid becoming homeless. My pacemaker also requires ongoing monitoring through Wi-Fi, so keeping our utilities and internet connected isn’t optional—it’s part of my medical care.

I never imagined I would be in a position where I would have to ask people for help like this. I have always been someone who wants to work, provide, create, and figure things out on my own. I am doing everything I can to get back on solid ground. But right now, we need some help getting across this gap.
