On, Thursday, April 16th….my best friend, Jacie’s daughter (17) heard her yell “OW” and instantly she was unconscious and not breathing. Thankfully, her daughter didn’t hesitate and called paramedics, immediately. 
When paramedics arrived, her heart was not beating and she was not breathing. They gave her chest compressions and had to shock her 5 times to get her heart started. 
She spent 3 days, in an induced coma, because they wanted to let her brain rest. They tried to pull her out of sedation a couple times, but her brain was too swollen. 
On Day 5, She did have a pacemaker/defibrillator installed 
She is being treated for high blood pressure, and a blood clot in her lung. She has to undergo genetic testing to see if this was caused by genes. 

After 4 days, she did wake up with some slower memory, speaking and cognitive function. She has 5 broken ribs, and is a ton of pain and has very heavy restrictions. She is unable to drive or move her arms for 30 days. 

After 8 days, she was allowed to go home, and is now resting. She has many bills that are due, that she wasn’t able to take care of while she was in the hospital. Her cell phone has been shut off today, which is detrimental to her being able to contact her doctors. 
 

If any of you can find it in your heart to help her and her daughter out, she is a single Momma who is just trying her best. 
 

*She did not have any damage or blockages in her heart, the cardiac arrest was due to a combination of her medications, purely electrical.
