About this fundraiser

When the Dr. Told us that our dad had stage 3 cancer… our hearts were shattered.

Our dad — the man who has always been our strength, our provider, and our protector — is now facing the fight of his life.

He has been diagnosed with Stage 3 laryngeal cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes. He will be receiving treatment at the UK Markey Cancer Center, which is about 2.5 hours away from home one way. He will undergo surgery to remove his voice box, followed by chemotherapy and radiation and possibly another surgery with transplanting a voice box prosthetic. This will be a long and physically demanding journey.

My dad is the primary provider. He has worked for Bimbo bakeries for over 20 years. He is a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather who has always worked hard to provide. During treatment, he will be unable to work and will have to rely on short-term disability, which can take time to be approved. The last thing we want is for him to worry about how bills will be paid while he is fighting for his life.

We are creating this fundraiser to help cover:

Medical co-pays

Travel expenses for the 2.5-hour trips to treatment in Lexington, Kentucky.

Surgery and treatment-related costs

Household bills during his time away from work

If you are able to donate, no amount is too small, and every bit helps ease the burden on our family. If you are not able to give financially, we completely understand — your prayers mean just as much. We truly believe God is in control, and we are trusting Him every step of the way.

Thank you for standing with our dad during this fight.

We are holding onto this promise:

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
— Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
