On November 4th 2025 my fiancé, the father of our two children was hit by a semi as a pedestrian working on his box truck on I95 N. The driver fled and left him for dead. When Kyle (my fiancé) first broke down he called me to let me know, something was going on with his truck and he may need me to come get him. He was 2 ½ hours away past Daytona. 15 minutes later his phone was going straight to voicemail and his location on his phone was no longer updating. I knew he had a charger and it wasn’t like him to stop responding. The last time I spoke to him was around 9:30pm. I had my mother come over to watch our kids and I drove to his last location. I got to his truck around 12am to find him laying in the emergency lane, unconscious and covered in blood. His forehead was split open, his eye the size of a baseball, his right arm completely shattered and distorted under him and his right leg almost completely severed. I placed a tourniquet with my jacket, wrapped his head with my shirt, gave him a sternum rub to wake him up and laid with him on the phone with 911 keeping him awake. He ultimately lost his right leg, above the knee, his right arm shattered along with his fingers and knuckles, his forehead stitched with a huge scar. This has put him out of work, and has also put me out of work to be his caregiver. He has 3+ appointments a week, physical therapy, occupational therapy and through all of this the bills don’t stop. We have applied for all the assistance possible but it’s a long process. Any help is greatly appreciated
