About this fundraiser

Dear Friends,

Although Rare Disease month is over, I remain troubled by the fact that my sister has not one, but two rare conditions that she struggles with every day.  I am coming to you today because she needs our help.

Sarah was diagnosed in 2017 with Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia, and in 2019 with Type-I CRPS - Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Both of these conditions manifest with intense, continuous pain in various parts of her face and body. Sarah requires a cane to walk more than a few steps. She takes multiple medications to try and mitigate her symptoms. And she is receiving SSDI (Disability).

In order to somewhat manage the pain from these conditions, every three months Sarah receives a unique medical treatment that is very expensive. She has had these treatments regularly for the past year and a half, and while she has been able to cover the out-of-pocket cost until now, at this point, her medical bills have become unmanageable. The insurance she carries is insufficient and the bills are piling up. Each treatment creates a bill (after insurance) for $600. Sarah receives disability payments, but there simply isn’t enough to cover everything.

I am reaching out to everyone who loves Sarah for your support. Any small amount will help. Your donation will go directly to Sarah, and all fees have been accounted for.
