This is really hard for me to write because I feel embarrassed asking for money, but I’m reaching out because I could really use some help.

Over the past several years, I’ve been dealing with ongoing, rare, and complex health issues that have significantly impacted my daily life. After years of appointments, tests, and trying to find answers locally, I was recently accepted for evaluation at the Mayo Clinic, something I’m incredibly grateful for and hopeful about.

Because my insurance does not cover out-of-state care, there are significant upfront costs required in order to move forward. This includes a medical deposit, travel expenses, lodging for the duration of testing, transportation, and flights.

The estimated costs include:
• Mayo Clinic medical deposit: $5,000
• Lodging (12 nights): $904
• Rental car: $710
• Flights for myself and my support person: approximately $1000

My total goal is $8,000 to help cover these necessary expenses but any little bit would help so much

Asking for help is not easy for me, but after years of being dismissed and living in a body that doesn't feel safe, this evaluation represents an important opportunity that I've been fighting for for a long time to better understand what’s going on with my health and hopefully improve my quality of life.
