About this fundraiser

Back in early May, the Animal Humane Society of Minnesota took on a number of pigeons from a hoarding/abuse investigation. Of those birds, 4 were right away slated for euthanasia due to “being aggressive” (they were just being pigeons).

We pulled those 4 to save them from an unnecessary death. They were not healthy when they arrived, and a fecal showed yeast, bacteria, and worms. They have been treated but continue to have issues. Most recently, one of the pair needed to be taken to the vet due to an extreme tail bob. X-rays showed a cardiovascular anomaly. The other pair also needed a fecal redone to make sure they are cleared for adoption.

We have spent the last month trying to get these birds well enough to go to the amazing homes we have waiting for them. We did not anticipate such a level of neglect and illness when we pulled them from the shelter, and now we need some help covering the bills. These birds dodged the unnecessary euthanasia bullet - we could really use your support to get them fully well so they can experience a safe, loving home for the first time ever.
