Hello, my name is Christoper. I live in Stevenson, Washington, on a mountain top in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. I have recently fell on hard times and as a result my family’s home of 22 years is in jeopardy of potential foreclosure. I am trying to stay in the home at least for the winter and work out repayment with the lender, unfortunately they have notified me that I currently do not qualify for assistance because I am currently unemployed. I have tied other agencies and found nothing. I have had somewhat unreliable employment during the past 24 months. I am diligently seeking work. Unfortunately, I have had both my vehicles break down. I know how to repair cars, so I have faith I can fix them shortly. A little history. My childrens Mom and I had the home built on a piece of land which I owned back in 2002. I also built a 30x36 shop with loft. We raised a son and Daughter together there until 2004 when she and I parted company. After a short time, the kids came back home to live with me. My daughter left for a time and has recently come back. Her and her 5-month-old baby girl (my first granddaughter) currently live with me. My son finished 6 years of college at WSU and moved to North Carolina to start a new life. During the years of owning the home, I made several improvements to the property, we added a tree house, we put in a garden, water feature pond and falls, flower beds, new lawn, etc. More recently, I built a new deck. Our home is fully furnished including all the keepsakes handed down by my parents when they were alive, not to mention all of our own family's cherished memories. I don’t know where I would put it all if I had to suddenly move. I have no cash on hand, savings or retirement to draw from. The home and land are my only asset at this point. I am currently 6 payments late and need help right away. I have faith that we will get the resources to get back on track. If I could get caught up we would be forever grateful.
