I've heard that many of you are unsure of donating or how this works.   I chose "Give A Hand" fundraiser because they only charge a processing fee but nothing else.  Since I didn't have Mary and Paul's account when I started this fundraiser, I set up a savings account that any donations I receive go into that account. Once the fundraiser is complete all the money donated will be withdrawn and given directly to Mary and Paul.

Update 8/25/25

   Mary has completed 2 weeks of radiation and now is resting for 2 weeks before she begins chemotherapy.  Not sure yet how many rounds she will receive.  At this time she is still tired but doing ok.

Update: 7/12/25

  Mary has had surgery to remove what the Dr could of the tumor but there are more areas that couldn't be reached.  She recovered from the surgery and was transferred back to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO where she completed rehab.  She is now home and will see the oncologist this week to find out what the next steps are for treatment.  

  Mary was admitted to Freeman Hospital, Joplin MO 6/18/25 with lots of pain and a 6-7 cm brain tumor was found.   She was diagnosed with Glioblastoma.  On Friday 6/20/25 Mary was transferred to Barnes-Jewish in St Louis, MO to see what treatment options there are.  They have found the cancer is incurable but the plan to do surgery Tuesday 6/24/25 to remove what they can of the tumor and help reduce the pressure on her brain.  

     I ask for your prayers first above all for comfort and peace for Mary and her family. If you feel led to donate please do what you are able.  Any amount is greatly appreciated.
