Marina Filippova's Treatment/Recovery Expenses
In early July this year, my wife Marina was swimming in the ocean near the shore. Suddenly, a wave rolled over her, severely damaging her leg. Doctors performed an operation, but, unfortunately, the rehabilitation period for her will be long. I ask for help for my wife Marina Filippova and am hosting a fundraiser that is necessary for the treatment and postoperative restoration of her broken femur.
The cost of the treatment recommended to her is beyond our family's means and, unfortunately, is not fully covered by insurance. In addition, funds are needed for current household expenses. I have to take care of my wife all day long, since Marina suffers from myasthenia and osteoporosis. Because of these diseases, her recovery after the operation is quite difficult and very slow.
*Myasthenia is a progressive autoimmune disease. It is expressed in chronic damage to the peripheral neuromuscular apparatus, which leads to weakness and rapid muscle fatigue.
**Osteoporosis is a pathological decrease in bone density due to a decrease in its quantity or insufficient calcification.
