Rodney and I are five months sober, expecting a baby, and doing the most painful and meaningful work of our lives: fighting our way back home to our children. Every day in recovery has meant choosing responsibility over excuses, growth over comfort, and action over empty promises, because our kids deserve parents who show up, not just say they will. Being separated from them is a hurt that never shuts off, and while sobriety has given us clarity, it has also made the distance feel even heavier because we know exactly what we are missing. Getting home is the final step toward reunification, but relocation costs, deposits, transportation, and basic necessities create a real financial barrier, especially while pregnant and committed to protecting our recovery. We are not asking for a handout or an easy way out, we are asking for help closing the gap between the work we’ve already done and the stable home our children are waiting for. Every dollar raised goes directly toward bringing our family back together so our children can have both parents present, sober, and consistent, not someday, but now. If you believe people can change, that recovery is real, and that families are worth fighting for, your support helps turn five months of hard-earned sobriety into a lifetime of safety, stability, and love for our children and the baby we are preparing to welcome.
