About this fundraiser

My legal name is Andrew Blake-Newton, I will be legally changing my name later to William Saville, which is the name I use on Facebook.

I fled stable housing in Michigan and fled to Massachusetts because I was doxxed by a hate group, and my address was released online, less than a year after I was shot repeatedly with a pellet gun for being recognized from my blog which I have since now shut down. The bigots have created several fake pages pretending to be me in an effort to turn people against me.

When I left Michigan, I had an apartment lined up with my section 8 voucher, but due to the housing authority dropping the ball on their end with getting the inspection done and RFTA submitted and approved, the apartment withdrew my approval. When I moved back to Massachusetts, I had a fiancee who was my live in caregiver, paid via my insurance. We had 4 cats together (my ex fiancee took their two cats with them when they went to stay with a couple of friends). With mutual aid, we stayed in different hotels for a month, and the bigots stalking me succeeded in getting us kicked out of two of those hotels, and so now I have to be SUPER careful about disclosing my location.

When the apartment fell through, we ended up breaking up, I had to permanently surrender my cat Tiggy, and then temporarily house my senior kitty, Onyx, in a shelter program for homeless people while I spent 26 days outdoors (unable to go into a shelter because my wheelchair and seizures made me a “liability” and hospitals like Massachusetts General Hospital escorting me out with security teams while actively seizing from stress). I received my $943 SSI on August 26, 2024, and paid for up until September 2nd and I have Onyx with me. I have an apartment lined up, again, but like before, I've done everything on my end and it's now on the housing authority to get the RFTA submitted and the inspection scheduled. Unlike the previous apartment though, there is no risk of this unit being given away or withdrawn from me. I am working with my insurance for a new caregiver and speaking with organizations to hire a new aide. I have been raising mutual aid previously using my link tree with donation methods on it, but this fundraiser will allow donors to keep track of what I have gotten so far.

==================================================

Update, due to this fundraiser and offline donations (which I am absolutely beyond thankful for!), I have been able to extend my stay to September 9th, and my inspection has been scheduled for 9am September 6th, once the inspection is done, it takes 2+ business days to process, then I can sign my lease and move in!!!!! In case processing and getting the lease done takes longer than 2 days, I am still accepting donations, but would prefer you to NOT donate to this fundraiser because funds take at least 2 days to process, my Venmo, Cashapp, and PayPal can all be found at my linktree, hyperlinked in the paragraph above!  All donations provided off of the fundraiser WILL be reflected on the fundraiser in the form of offline donations, which I have done previously.

Update provided on September 5th at 4pm EST

==================================================

I cannot go back onto the streets again, I cannot put Onyx back into the shelter. I need to be inside, my Multiple Sclerosis symptoms are becoming more and more scary, and the other day I had a seizure while crossing the street in my wheelchair and drove into traffic and had to be rescued by people passing by. I'm also supposed to be on 2 liters of oxygen, I left my tank behind in Michigan because we didn't have the ability to bring it. Onyx also lost so much weight while in the shelter, and I've been off of most of my life saving medications due to not having access to a bathroom (lasix) and dealing with severe food insecurity (tegratol for my seizures, metaprolol for blood pressure, levothroxine for hypothyroidism, etc.) . I've lost roughly 80lbs since August 1st, according to when I was weighed on August 1st at the hospital, and then recently when I went in for the flu I was weighed again, and that was 3 days ago at the time I am writing this. So I lost roughly 80 lbs in 24 days, that's 3.2 lbs per day, which is very very unhealthy (eventual healthy weight loss is my goal with how large I am, but the way I've been losing weight is dangerous)

I am asking for help with paying for the hotel I am at for 8 nights on top of what I have already taken care of so far with my SSI (which should give the housing authority enough time to get everything straightened out, if not I will increase the amount I am fundraising for). Normally there would be pet fees, but the hotel I am at is waving them because I provided paperwork for Onyx and explained the situation I'm in. The hotel I'm in is so expensive because a lot of Bostonian hotels are built into older, inaccessible buildings, and when I select “wheelchair accessible” when hotel searching, all hotels become $150+ a night. The hotel I am in has the lowest deposit required for incidentals, and is close to the local transit and agencies I can get apartment assistance at. It is ideal for what I need, and is cheaper than most other hotels because of the fees I was able to get waived. The hotel I am in also has a roll in shower, and a kitchenette.

All help is so so greatly appreciated, and it all adds up, so even if all you can donate is $1, it's a dollar more than I had previously. Due to the very real danger I'm still in, and the hate group succeeding in getting me kicked out of hotels before, I cannot disclose the address of where I am. I hope donors will understand. I will also not be releasing the address for my new apartment for my safety as well, but my new apartment DOES have security cameras in the building, a check-in desk where people must sign in, and my unit itself is fully ADA accessible so I'll be able to use my wheelchair inside my unit!
