I am a struggling single 68 year old woman living on $900.00 a month on ssi/dis. Recently the apartment I rent for $800.00 a month was sold & new landlord is now wanting $1100.00 a month. I can barely pay the $800.00 a month as it is & my electric & water bill I juggle just to keep on by paying partial monthly bill. I have looked for cheaper places to rent & they don't exist at this point. Moving is very hard on me due to my age & my health. I have had 3 heart attacks & 2 heart surgeries plus having neuropathy in my legs but if I could find an affordable place I would be moving. At this time I am scared I will be living on the streets. I don't like asking for help but don't know what else to do. I have tried government assistance but told everywhere I went no funds available. I am honestly needing help what I am asking for is 2 months rent & rest of my monthly water & electric bill this will help me get a running start & hopefully find a cheaper place to rent.
