About this fundraiser

On November 1st, 15 athletes with Intellectual Disabilities are toeing the line at Ironman Florida.

I'm going to have the opportunity to go be a guide with one of them (and I hear that a couple may be in the ~10 hour range!)

In May at Chattanooga 70.3 I met Robert Norris, who is a part of 1% Better, an organization founded by Chris Nikic, the first individual with Down's Syndrome to complete an Ironman. The mission is to incorporate physical fitness for people with IDD as standardized practice in society, schools and health and wellness facilities.

The foundation is still growing and doesn't yet have the resources to fund travel and related expenses for Guides (with priority going to athletes). So I'm raising funds to help support travel expenses for the trip.

Any funds that are raised beyond what needs to be spent will be sent directly to 1%/ the Chris Nikic Foundation.

Thank you for the support.
