My name is Jamie and I am a 25 year-old female with a debilitating knee condition. I have congenitally shallow trochlea with subluxating patella. My knee dislocates a lot. I first injured my knee when I was 16 years old and had surgery to correct this when I was 19 years old because the doctors didn’t want to do surgery on someone so young. The surgery failed and now I need a more invasive surgery to fix the joint. Everyday it is getting harder and harder to walk. I can’t go to fairs or zoos or theme parks because I cannot walk long distances. I just want to be able to live like a normal 25 year-old and not be in pain anymore.
