Jeremy was admitted to IU Methodist Hospital for nearly two weeks, where doctors ran numerous tests. During that time, they received the heartbreaking news that he has head and neck cancer.
Our family is going through an incredibly difficult time. Jeremy doesn't have health insurance yet. They applied, but it's still pending, and they don't quality for state assistance because his employer is continuing to pay him while he's off work. We are incredibly grateful for his employer's kindness, but unfortunately, that income won't last forever.
My parents have always been the first to help others. They've opened their home to foster children, donated to churches, and supported families in need. They would never ask for help themselves, but right now they truly need it.
Jeremy's first PET scan is scheduled for next Wednesday, and the out-of-pocket cost is $2,999.14.
The following day, he will have a port placed for treatment, and we're still waiting to learn the cost of that procedure. The medical bills are adding up quickly, and the financial burden is becoming overwhelming.
In addition to the medical expenses, Jeremy will need to travel to Muncie five days a week for treatments. If you would rather not donate money, gas gift cards would be an incredible blessing and would help cover the cost of traveling to and from his appointments. You can just send it to my mom’s cash app $Lindaj821
My mom is also Jeremy's full-time caregiver right now. Because he has a G-tube, she has to feed him every three hours, day and night. On top of that, she's getting my younger brother and sister ready to start school next week while trying to keep everything else together. She is going to be exhausted, but she never complains.
If you feel led to help in any way, no gift is too small.
Every donation, share, will help ease the financial burden so Jeremy can focus on what matters most-fighting this cancer.
We also want to thank the many people who have
stepped up to help by watching my younger brother and sister while my mom and Jeremy have been at the hospital. Your kindness has meant more than you know. I've been here helping as much as I possibly could, but unfortunately I have to head back home this weekend so I can return to work myself.
If you're unable to give, we completely understand.
We simply ask that you keep Jeremy, my mom, and our entire family in your prayers during this difficult journey.
Please also consider sharing this post. Even if you can't donate, sharing it may help it reach someone who can.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, support, generosity, and prayers. They mean more to us than words can ever express. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.
