About this fundraiser

Katelyn, who often goes by Juno and much more! is a loving mother and partner and loved family member that’s been fighting generational trauma left on her from surviving childhood sexual assault as a two year old! She had a rough upbringing at home as a newborn and entered the fostercare system and remained for 5 years before being adopted by her foster mother and father!

despite the unimaginable difficulties CSA can bring to a child of that age…she still mananged to learn how to make the bottle like her mom and dad taught her how too at no older then 2.

it was quiet the task For such a small human!

In order to feed her 1 year old brother and infant sister:

her mother left a microwave and pink stool on the ground…milk powder and toilet was not far for water and perfect height for her to reach.

Her sister to this day thanks her for keeping her alive at that age!

katelyn sometimes goes by juno because she has a severe trauma disorder called dissociative identity disorder (previously known as multiple personality disorder) she has 48 alternate identity she’s learning to share her body with And she does it with the help of her Campbell county memorial health team up on the 5th floor! Dissoci Identity Disorder developes before the age 9 due to exposure and being stuck in a prolonged traumatic environment.
Echo Downy (psychiatric provider @ Campbell County Health) has her on a good medication regimen and therapist Cheryl King @Cambell County Health says she’s come so far!

due to the stresses of living with a survival disorder (DID) she has developed Psychogenic non epileptic seizures at the age 23. As you can imagine the amnesia, switching and seizures are already to much to handle day to day…but she copes with all the side effects of Cptsd as well. Flashbacks, depression, insomnia, anxiety, self mutilating tics (nail bitting and picking and scratching)

prescription pills only help her cope so much and she’s been on many different regimens since she was put in foster care at age two!

agoraphobia is paranoias Bestie let’s help her get outside safely because she forgets her life alert!

A medical dog won’t let her go with out him!

Juno has a village of support helping her raise her baby and heal. Her family just wants a better life for her and doesn’t want to see her wait the 7 plus years to get a dog that will only help with a few of these needs!
service dog school of America has exactly what she needs and it cost 55,000 total for the dog.

let’s help the Junebugs system (Katelyn Taney) she just wants to be able to go farther than a block away with her 2 year old…a mother daughter excursion….their first one!

and continue that day safely until the next with her necessary medical equipment.

thank you for you’re time and help!
