Support for Kathy Morris Berry

I’m reaching out on behalf of my longtime friend, Kathy Morris (Berry), who has been battling serious health challenges that have taken a tremendous toll on her life and finances.

Kathy has lived with diabetes since early adulthood, alongside fibromyalgia, both of which have become increasingly difficult to manage this year. Her blood sugar levels have been dangerously unstable—at times putting her at risk for a heart attack or stroke. As if that weren’t enough, 2025 has brought additional hardships, including a prolonged case of pneumonia and a diagnosis of skin cancer.

Most recently, Kathy received devastating news:
Her doctors now need to perform a lung biopsy.

Even while navigating these health battles, Kathy has tried to find work to support herself. Unfortunately, her medical needs and frequent setbacks have made it nearly impossible to secure a job that can accommodate her condition.

Kathy’s financial situation is now critical. Her savings are gone. Her retired-teacher income is only $1,271 per month, and her mortgage payment has risen to $983 due to increased taxes and insurance. She is fighting to keep her home while also facing urgent medical expenses for the biopsy, follow-up care, recuperation time, and daily necessities.

If you know Kathy, you know she is the kind of person who gives selflessly, even when she has little to give. She loves her family and friends fiercely, and now she needs that same kindness returned to her.

Any amount you can contribute will help keep her in her home, support her through the biopsy process, and allow her to focus on healing without the added fear of losing everything.
