About this fundraiser

Early last week I went in for some dental work. As it turned out, I still had a baby tooth and it was infected.   We pulled the tooth and then went on with life and taking my meds as directed. I was experiencing a lot of pain and swelling. I went in an ER and they were able to help me out with some extra pain meds until I got to see my regular dentist. My dentist agreed it was not looking great. She gave me more pain meds and more antibiotics. I tried roughing it out and finally couldn’t take the pain and was starting to run a fever. I ended up in the ER again. I was seen very quickly and put into a room immediately. From there out it gets a little fuzzy. I ended up septic and in the Intensive Medical unit. The oral surgeon ended up seeing me and he did a full debridement and wash in my mouth. I had a large piece of necrotic tissue and they dug it out of the roof of my mouth. They were struggling to get my fever under control and at one  point the were using ice packs to try and cool me down. They  found an antibiotic that the infection was responding and we got the fever under control. Once I was stable enough they moved me to a step down unit. To say this hit us financially is an understatement. Tony had to miss a lot of work. We are putting aside our pride and setting this up. All money earned will go bills and groceries. Thank you to everyone.
