Just over a year ago, my life took a dramatic turn when one afternoon I felt an unfamiliar sharp stabbing pain in my leg—a sensation so intense that I was totally unable to take a single step.

I was quickly rushed, lights and sirens, to the hospital where the doctors performed “life-threatening” surgery on my leg. During the surgery, the doctors had to perform an above-the-knee leg amputation. The road to recovery has been long and arduous, but today, I'm reaching out with a heartfelt plea for your help.

The road has been difficult and costly, with countless doctor visits, painful physical rehab sessions, endless medical bills, and the heartache of leaving behind so much that I loved about daily living—like running, cycling, and even just taking leisurely strolls with my wife.

But there's something else that pains me deeply: my family’s home isn't equipped to support my new life post-amputation. The reality is stark; they have lovingly retrofitted parts of the house for accessibility, but we are struggling financially due to the skyrocketing costs of medical bills and adapting our home to accommodate a wheelchair.

I believe in miracles and that every small act can make a difference, no matter how big or seemingly insurmountable the obstacles are.
