Hi all my name is X! I am writing to tell me story and hope that I may have your assistance financially as it pertains to legal services, personal experiences that could help my case in any way possible or advice. I understand that some of my nurse aunties and uncles are attorneys as well- so anything would be help, even if it’s just words of encouragement. 

On 1/2025 I was accused of academic dishonesty from college. They informed me that Exam Soft flagged my account for testing anomalies that suggested screen sharing. All exams that were in question were exams taken Fall of 2024, we are currently in Spring of 25! Later the same day, they informed me that ATI contacted them to report similar findings. (later in the investigation we are realizing that was never true). After being required to provide the school with intrusive information such as my IP address and ISP address, I refused due to stolen identify in the past and the school not telling me how my information would be used. They proceed to tell me they can completed the investigation without the requested information, so I thought why ask for it?

While going through the investigation I was told to take my exams on paper so that I would not have access to a computer. Well, I took my exam on paper and made the grade of a B. However, my testing accommodations were violated. I had an instructor to come into the testing center and sit arm’s length next to me while I took my exam! Leading me to have a medical episode. 

On 2/2025 I met with the Dean of Nursing and she informed me there is some type of cheating scandal going on across the country and they are trying to figure it out. I asked her to investigate my case so that I can clear my name. She assured she would have information the following Friday. She never did. And to this date, she still had nothing.

After I passed that exam…On 2/2025 I was contacted by X instructor to report she will be giving me 2 zeros for two assignments that I took this semester. She stated she had “compelling” evidence that supports her decision. I asked for the evidence, a ticket number etc. She withheld, (later finding out, that it never existed!)

On 2/2025 I was dismissed from the school of nursing without a fair hearing, without the right to be heard, without due process. I was told if you don’t agree with the decision, you may appeal it! I was devastated that I worked so hard, top of my class, voted to do our pinning speech for graduation May of 2025. I do believe that one lady X has a per vendetta against me and somehow, somewhere information was tainted. 

After meeting with the Dean of students, who I have been in contact from day one… He advised me NOT to file a student grievance because it could be looked upon as if im playing tid for tad. I took the advice and did not. Now he has “allowed” me to file the grievance.

On 2/2025 is when had a meeting with the Dean of Nursing. I missed that meeting because I have under a lot of stress, battling depression and dealing with the slander the school had put on me. I appeared in person one hour later and the Dean sated if I don’t agree with her appeals outcome, that I can appeal it at the Assistant Chancellor’s level! Since when this became a full-blown appeals meeting. I was tricked into the missed meeting being an appeal. (I did not get the chance to have proper counsel because of this) 

Fast-forward to 3/2025I met with the Assistant Chancellor and she presented an Excel sheet that was supposedly had evidence on it that she could not articulate what each column was and the significance of all of it. She stated that the schools Chief officer met with ExamSoft (in which Examsoft’s policy is that they do not participate with investigations, they allow the school to make their own). I was told that this special excel sheet was given on 3/25, well after I had been dismissed. So, what evidence did they have in the first place? None! Even now, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out. So, after our meeting she issue an appeals outcome!!!!!! Again, I was tricked. This was meeting! Not an appeals hearing, I was once again tricked. 

With the help of my parents, My mom who is a nurse, father who is a retired fireman and my supporting boyfriend. I was able to hire an attorney, and she has been able to make movement. But we are to the point of litigation and it more cost than my family care bare. We have already spent nearly $8k and we have only been communicating with the school and have not even prepared for litigation. I, on the record I am innocent, I have been dismissed from my program without evidence, proper proceedings along of host of things I don’t think I should/can go into too many details before trial.
