Dear Friends and Family,

Yesterday, my sister, Laurie’s sweet therapy dog, Liberty underwent a second TPLO surgery to repair a torn cruciate ligament in her knee. This was an unexpected emergency procedure, and while it’s her only chance to live a pain-free life and regain full mobility, it comes with a hefty cost— Up to $10,000!
As many of you know, Liberty has been a constant source of joy and support to so many. She’s worked as a therapy dog visiting memory care centers, and she’s also helped children practice reading skills as a “tutor with a tail.” She’s truly a special dog, not to mention, she’s Laurie’s pride and joy, constant companion and best friend! Laurie is committed to doing everything she can to get her  sweet dog back to health! 
Last year, Laurie spent nearly $20,000 to repair Liberty’s  first leg, and after much sacrifice, she had nearly finished paying off that debt. She recently moved to a single-story home, limited Liberty’s activity, and invested in water therapy to help her stay active and healthy for as long as possible. Unfortunately, after an acute injury while playing with visiting family, her second leg needed urgent surgery.  Now, Laurie is facing another difficult financial burden while still digging out from the costs of last year’s treatment.
I’m reaching out to ask for your support. If you’ve ever loved a dog as a family member, you understand how deeply we all want to see Liberty live a healthy, happy life. Your donation will help offset the surgery costs and ensure she can recover fully and continue her work bringing joy to others. While the road to recovery will be long, we’re hopeful that once she’s healed, Liberty will once again return to her work as a therapy dog and live out her remaining years with the quality of life she deserves.
