Hi folks,

It's a damn shame to be here, but, here I am.  

Aside from two temp roles, I've been out of work since late 2023 (left a Big (red, local) Corp that was doing some objectively shady and harmful shit that was going the way of forcing me out of the position I'd held for 2.5 years). 

I used up all my savings, reserves, credit, the money I got from those two short-term positions, and emptied a retirement account. 

I'm going to widen the net of jobs I'm open to to try and get something in place, but christ knows how long it will take to land a role in this utterly dogshit job economy, especially amidst increasing diversity hostility. 

Update: I may have good news on the horizon, but it's not quite finalized. However, even if it does come through, I wouldn't start generating income until mid-to-late March, and so still need help to get through the next couple months. 

I've got typical bills (insurance, credit, mortgage, phone, etc), ongoing needs like gas and groceries, and a snake and cat to take care of (kitty had a severe health event late last summer that nearly cost him his life, and those bills are substantial - don't worry, he's doing well now!). 

I also have a sizeable list of healthcare issues needing to be addressed and dealt with. I am fortunate enough to be on MA for now so that isn't adding to the financial burden, but it does limit what I can do for work and quick cash. 

Any money you can spare to help me get by on bills until I can find a job would be extremely helpful and appreciated! Against my default inclinations I've started this page because I have exhausted other options and am down to seeking the generosity of others (at the worst possible time, I know…).
