Luke Moore was born on June 3, 2025, at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile, AL. Within days, he was transferred to USA Women’s and Children’s Hospital and then airlifted to UAB in Birmingham, where doctors discovered he had a serious heart defect called coarctation of the aorta. Luke underwent surgery and, thanks to the incredible care at UAB, made a strong recovery and was discharged on June 15th.

Unfortunately, Luke was airlifted back to UAB on June 27th due to fluid buildup around his heart and lungs. After several days of close monitoring and a change in diet, he was finally able to return home on July 1st.

Luke is now on a strict low-fat diet, requiring both carefully skimmed breastmilk and a costly low-fat formula. The Moore family is facing mounting medical expenses from multiple hospital stays, procedures, and ongoing dietary needs.
