About this fundraiser

My dear Luna, who I lovingly call Luna Tunes, got diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia today.  Basically, Luna apparently breathed in or swallowed a splinter of some kind & it has caused fluid on the outside of her lung (bacterial infection).  Since it’s stuck somewhere & causing the infection & breathing difficulty, the only way to truly treat her symptoms is through surgery to locate the splinter, remove it & clean out her infection.

It has taken almost the whole month of June to figure out exactly what was wrong with Luna.  I‘m at my max for her care with 3 ex rays, meds & a sonogram yesterday, those are BIG bucks!  I was hoping for good news but, unfortunately, they diagnosed the aspiration pneumonia & just draining her lung is only a bandage when the splinter is left behind to possibly keep her with fever & reoccurring infection.

I desperately want to help Luna pull out of this, I know we have many more years coming.  I adopted her at 3mo old & she’s been by my side for 7 years, every second, since I work from home. It really hurts to think I can’t help her in the way she needs & in the way I wish I could. Without the surgical intervention that she needs, I can only keep her comfortable until she serums to this situation unfortunately.

Thankful for any help you can give Luna .
