Despite the aggressive treatment regimen, including increased infusions of IVIG, Prolastin, and the addition of Photopheresis, my body has not responded as anticipated by my medical team. During my last meeting with my pulmonary specialist, I was informed that I am experiencing full rejection and must begin exploring options for retransplantation. I have been referred to Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles for a comprehensive evaluation to determine my eligibility for retransplantation. Regrettably, the financial burden of the initial transplant has exhausted my savings, rendering me unable to cover the expenses associated with traveling to Los Angeles for the evaluation. I am facing a critical need for assistance to cover the costs of accommodation, food, fuel, and copays, as I have a narrow window of approximately one month to secure the necessary funds and meet the scheduled appointment on January 23rd with the Cedar Sinai Lung Transplant team.
