For so many years, Lupe Gomez opened her home and her heart to the children she cared for. She didn’t just watch them—she loved them like they were her own. She celebrated their milestones, comforted them on hard days, and created a home filled with warmth, safety, and joy. Every family who walked through her door became part of her extended family.

In April 2024, her world changed when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 abdominal cancer. Since then, she has endured multiple surgeries and the overwhelming challenges that come with this battle. And yet, through every setback and every hard day, she remains the same woman she has always been—thinking of others first, staying hopeful, and carrying herself with a strength that moves us all.

Over these past months, many of her “daycare babies”—some now grown, some still young—have reached out asking how they could help. Inspired by their love for her, they came up with the idea to surprise her with a Christmas donation from all those she has loved and cared for over the years.

On December 24th, we will preset her with the generous donations to support her ongoing care, which includes travel expenses to Dallas for appointments, medication and medical supplies, and the many high co-pays that come with her treatment plan.

This is a chance to give back to a woman who has given so much of her heart, her time, and her love to others.
