Hello my name is Martin, I’ve been battling Lyme disease and it’s co infections for 5 years now, It’s completely decimated my quality of life. The condition has impaired my neurological and motor skills. When I urinate it causes extreme discomfort because the bacteria has damaged my vascular system. I have a constant feeling of being drunk or being underwater due to the lack of blood flow and imbalance I experience on the daily. At my sickest I was bed bound unable to walk or talk, i had severe slurred speech as well. I’ve had periods of homelessness due to my lack of resources and inability to work fulltime. Disability wasn’t useful since the amount wasn’t enough to cover my basic necessities

In the past 5 years I’ve made great strides in my health but I still have one last push to make me 100% again. By the grace of god I’ve been able to pull myself out of the darkest period of my life with very little help, I’ve been left traumatized but my connection to God has deepened in the process and I know that I will be free again.

I need to have surgery to correct the damage done to my urethra, also to continue my path toward total rehabilitation I’ll need to continue oxygenation therapy which runs several hundreds of dollars per session also to cover doctors appointments since Medicaid doesn’t cover many of these unconventional therapies.
