On Monday June 10, my daughter Jen (Beanie) fell and broke both her tibia and fibula in her left leg and badly sprained her right ankle. Her surgery is scheduled on Monday June 17. She is unable to ambulate due to both legs having severe injuries. Her recovery for the surgery is expected to be at least 6-8 weeks. It is anticipated that the out of pocket medical expenses even with insurance, will be astronomical as there will be transport, facility, specialist and rehab services needed. Some may already be aware that Beanie was also diagnosed with COPD/emphysema last year which already is a physical, emotional and financial strain on herself and her kids. My Beanie has always given so much of herself to others in their time of need and her family and friends promise to support her through this.
