Latest update as of Nov 12, 2024

  • Another "step" forward in the recovery process.

We just found out that as of Nov 22 I will be able to bear full weight on my legs again! This is exciting for all of us since it gets me a little closer to being able to return to normal everyday life and out of the wheelchair!
On top of the awesome news that I'll be able to start standing again soon I have located a prosthetist and they are measuring/casting my stump so that I will have a temporary leg to use while learning to stand/walk again.
Please continue to share the link to the fundraiser page! Without the love and support from all of you this process would be so much harder on us. I will continue to post updates and hopefully some photos or videos soon or me getting mobile again!

About this fundraiser

My name is Kevin,

I am a 33 year old male that currently lives in Graham, WA with my beautiful fiance Michelle and our 4 dogs. We got very lucky that her parents gave us an amazing opportunity to move up here to change our lives around and start saving for a home. They gave us a spot to park our 5th wheel home, built us a fence around it for our animals, set up full hookups for us and welcomed us to start calling it home.

Everything was going great, I landed a dream job at the railroad, I was even able to take my motorcycle as my commuter so I could get my daily dose of true freedom in.

But then on 8/13/24 there was the phone call that changed it all.

I left the house to go to a Union Meeting and never made it. My ride ended when a head on collision with a small SUV and my motorcycle, had me thrown about 50 feet further from the collision.

I am currently being treated at Harborview Medical Center 1.5 hours from home (because no other hospital had a high enough trama rating) with multiple injuries and now Michelle has had to take on any responsibility I had until I can recover.

My injuries:

Both Legs have multiple broken bones.

Left foot completely mangled. Will require multiple surgeries if we are able to save it.

Broken pelvis

Broken right shoulder blade

I have been told I will be in the hospital for roughly 6-8 weeks. Followed by months of healing and therapy to be able to use my legs again. Meanwhile Michelle still needs to keep our home running without my assistance, she has taken on the workload of 2 people, is now the sole source of entertainment for our 4 dogs, takes care of all the paperwork regarding the accident, is dealing with my doctors, talking with investigaters, talking with tow yards, keeping communication with my work union, and yet still somehow finding time to work and drive all the way to see me.

Your donation will help us in many ways,

Evey dollar helps, and we have the upmost gratitude.

Let's get this man healthy and back to work.
