About this fundraiser

It is with so much sadness that I share with the community that my mom has crossed over leaving this earth to be joined with the Lord up in Heaven. She suffered a massive stroke a few weeks ago and passed overnight in the early hours of the morning on April 18th where no pain and suffering could stifle her any longer. She is now at complete peace.

If you knew her then you knew she was a flame, a light, a soul that had so much love, passion, and gave all of herself to those around her. My mother was a true survivor of so many things that tried to hold her back but she always persevered in the face of adversity. It was from her that my sister and I learned to be givers, to help those in need, to lead with our hearts and to love unconditionally.

She was a lover and a fighter, she loved good music, great food, and living life to the fullest. She was the smartest woman I ever knew with the hardest head. A firecracker that always had a spark and the last word, she never backed down and always stood up for what she believed was right.

She loved the beautiful diversity of our city and the people and places in it, San Francisco and Oakland were her home and the water, views, and memories we made together will last forever.

My mom was the support system and backbone of our small but mighty family, there were so many people whom she loved and that truly  loved her back. So it is with a heavy heart that I ask you for that love and help back for her.

If she made a difference in your life, opened her door, her kitchen, her ears or her arms for you please help us to give her a beautiful home going celebration to lift her up to the heavens in all the glory that made her one of a kind. To my Queen mother Ola, we love you and through us your legacy lives on.
