Hi, I am sadly resorting to coming here in order to ask for help w/my medical expenses. First I have no insurance. Months back I broke my foot & had to have surgery that resulted in a metal disk & 6 screws placed into my left foot. Months on a stroller, in a boot & then slowing able to start walking again. Once I was finally healing from that & while still trying to pay that procedure off that was over $10,000, I fell ill & it landed me in the hospital. Even with them knowing up front I had no insurance, they still proceeded to rack me up a $16000+ medical bill. That isn't including the dr fee, lab fee, person to read labs. Ekg, person to read it. Chest xray, person to read it! I have been trying to make payments to literally 8 different places due to this which is absolutely ridiculous that it wasn't just all put together to pay but also very overwhelming :( I am barely making ends meet as it is & now this is added to the stress. I hate to ask for help but they are threatening to turn me over to collections while the other 7 places & the foot surgeon have been working w/me on payment arrangements & see that I am really trying.
