My dad has always been my rock, and it breaks my heart to see him facing such a difficult time. At just 60 years old, he recently suffered a double stroke while living overseas. As his only child, I am doing everything I can to support him from afar, but the challenges are overwhelming. My step mom, his devoted wife, is now his primary caregiver, and together they are navigating a new reality where he can no longer walk or care for himself. They do not have any other children to help, and the financial strain is immense. 

One of the hardest parts is that my dad has never met 4 of our 5 children because traveling overseas is so expensive. It’s heartbreaking to know how much he wants to be part of their lives, but circumstances have kept us apart. Our family has been through a lot recently. My husband is recovering from double spine surgery, yet he continues to work hard to support us and our children. Despite our best efforts, we can only do so much to help my dad and step mom with the mounting expenses. The costs of medical bills, food, travel to doctors, a better wheelchair, and daily essentials like adult diapers are adding up quickly. Every day is a struggle, and we are reaching out for help because we simply cannot do this alone.
