My mom passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on April 26, 2026. We thought she had life insurance, but it had only been active for a little over a year, so the payout will be minimal—if anything at all. The funeral home requires medical records for the last five years, and even if they pay, it will only cover a small portion of the costs. We had to choose the most basic package: a viewing in a rental casket and then cremation. Even with these choices, the expenses are more than we can manage on our own.

My mom was spunky and could light up any room with her contagious laugh and smile. She would give you everything she had if you needed it and would help anyone, whether she knew you or not. She meant the world to me and to so many others whose lives she touched. Losing her has been incredibly hard, and trying to navigate these unexpected expenses has made it even more difficult.

I am reaching out for help to raise the funds needed to cover her funeral and cremation expenses.
