Hello,

I have two boys.  

My 3 year old has global developmental delays and has recently been diagnosed as autistic. He has yet to say even one word and it just breaks my heart. His sensory processing disorder causes him to be more easily frustrated feeling very overwhelmed and unable to regulate his emotions. This results in epic meltdowns that often end with him hurting himself. This too breaks my heart. He is in several therapies and requires lot of hospital visits as we try to understand more about his issues in order to provide him with the help he needs. In addition to the therapies and hospital visit, specific sensory seeking toys are needed to help calm during the day to play as well as at night to help him sleep. He wakes up every night in a meltdown and it often takes hours to get him back to sleep. This leaves him very tired throughout the day and only contributes to his frustration.

My 2 month old son has been diagnosed with Jacob’s Syndrome which may also mean intellectual disabilities and developmental delays as he gets older.
 

Insurance only covers so much and we are going further into debt trying to get the help my son needs.  I just want to be able to give them all the support that I can.
