I’m 70 years old and worked at a call center for 3.5 years before it suddenly closed on December 10, leaving me without a job.
After the closure, I relied on severance pay for a short period. That has now ended, and I have just begun receiving state unemployment benefits. Unfortunately, those benefits cover only less than half of my previous take-home income.
Since losing my job, I’ve been doing everything I can to get back to work. I’ve been sent out hundreds of resumes. I have made several changes to the resumes. Despite my efforts, I haven’t secured a job yet, though I do have a potential interview coming up.
As this might fail. I’ve been actively building a writing career focused on short fiction and finance
This is a short-term request. My goal is to bridge a temporary $2,200 gap over the next two months while I secure employment. Got to keep the insurance paid, the dog fed, and the lights and internet on. Any donation, even $5.00, can help. I also have medicine that costs nearly 200.00, which I can't afford.
I hate to ask, but I've done all I can. I was laid off in December. Thanks for your consideration, Wm Ward
