Late last year Jenny Lind Gieselman who has always been very active, healthy, excited for any adventure she could get into with her husband and kids fell horribly ill. In a moment's notice her life changed and sickness rapidly took over her once healthy and exhuberant self. She was rushed into emergency surgery as her body went into shcok and sepsis spread and began to completely shut her body down.
She underwent 3 emergency surgeries in 72 hours time to find herself for the very first time in a hospital with tubes and surgery marks and pain she almost couldn't bear.
Jenny Lind is super strong, brave, and honestly just one tough cookie. She often takes off on camping and hiking adventures or waterfall exploring on her kayak with her boys and always has a tent, a backpack, a swim suit, a paddleboard…..all the things ready to GO.
Her LIFE and natural existence ceased to exist as her body became too sick. She has been in and out of the hospital dozens of times, undergone extensive blood panels, specialist visits, endured almost a dozen blood and platelet transfusions just to continuously be left with a lot of head scratching and more testing.
A radical tribe surrounds her with love and prayer, but there are now major financial burdens that come along with what is next for her.
After over a year of testing and no answers, suffering and patience, her specialists have collectively decided that it is time to do an organ transplant in order for her body to heal as this monster illness has destroyed her liver so quickly it can no longer repair itself and she is fading much faster than they anticipated.
She will be meeting with the transplant team on January 30th for more extensive testing, scans, conversations and arrangements for surgery.
Not only has she and her husband dealt with the horrific aftermath of Hurricane Helene with major damages to their home, but due to all of the doctor's appointments and people redirecting their funds to clean up their own properties they have had to shut down their private practice where her husband has been serving their community practicing chiropractic since 2017 specializing in pregnancy and pediatrics.
They are not only financially devastated, but the emotional toll and complete flip in daily lifesyle is taking a huge emotional toll on them as well.
They raise and homeschool their 2 sons Alexander(7) and Ashley Raylan(4) as well as frequent Oklahoma where they share Jenny's biological son Emmett(12) that recently relocated to spend time with his biological father after being in the Carolinas for 8 years so they are also losing precious time not being able to travel the way they were before.
Jordan (Jenny's husband) will be required to stay with her every moment pre and post surgery and the requirement is a minimum of 21 days to stay and can be as long as 3 months depending on how well her body receives the new organ. This will be a long road and Jordan needs to be able to focus on his wife and her recovery.
The financial assistance that can be afforded will be carefully prayed over and we know God still has so much left for our Jenny to accomplish and a great testimony to give.
There is no gift too small, God does BIG things with little all the time.
Please love on this beautiful family as they have given so much of their lives to serving others and they are anxious to return to their passions and especially Jenny Lind as her passion is truly being a mommy and loves others SO deeply and always with no expectation of a return of anything. Her acts of service are genuine and pure.
Please find it in your heart to skip pizza nights for a few weeks, to pass by the new pair of shoes you don't really need, make coffee at home instead of driving thru, share with others and love and pray!!!
Thank you for reading, blessings for you in your donations to help this family.
