Hi my name is Kathy. I'm 49 and a single mom. I've spent all of my adult life working to provide for my kids and I. Until early March of this year. I woke up one day numb and tingling from the waist down and unable to walk unassisted. I have a anterior subluxation of L4 on L5 and severe facet arthritis compressing my spinal cord. I've never had any health insurance because it was too expensive and I have never had health problems. Now all of a sudden I find myself disabled unable to walk, drive, provide for myself. I have managed to get a free insurance but they are not willing to pay for much at all. They won't pay for MRI, for example which is something I need to get my condition corrected and hopefully walk again, work again etc. I don't have money for rent, bills or food. I don't have any family or friends that can help. I am afraid of losing my home and we being forced to live in my car that I can't drive, losing everything we own etc. I would be eternally grateful for any help and I have decided that once I make it through this wilderness in my life I will dedicate my life to try to help other people in any kind of need.
