About this fundraiser

Hi, my name is Jaime, and I’m a 33-year-old mother of two young children. I’m starting this fundraiser in hopes of improving my quality of life and finally finding relief from chronic back pain that I’ve lived with since my teenage years.

Many of the women on my father’s side of the family have very large busts, and unfortunately, I inherited that trait as well. Over the years, the physical strain has taken a serious toll on my body. I’ve done everything I was told to do — and more. I’ve seen chiropractors, massage therapists, and physical therapists. I’ve invested in specialty bras, supportive shoes, and lifestyle changes. I’ve followed medical advice, worked hard to lose weight, and significantly reduced my BMI, all in hopes of easing the pain and qualifying for surgery.

I am a licensed cosmetologist, which means I spend most of my days on my feet. As the years have gone on, the back pain has become nearly unbearable. It affects my ability to work, to rest, and most painfully, to enjoy everyday moments with my children. Simple activities that should be joyful — playing, walking, being present — are often limited by constant discomfort.

Just when I felt hopeful that surgery was finally within reach, I was hit with devastating news: I am losing my health insurance at the beginning of the year. This unexpected loss has made it impossible for me to move forward without help.

I am asking for support to help cover the cost of breast reduction surgery, as well as essential living expenses during recovery while I am unable to work. My husband will be able to apply for FMLA to help care for me as I heal, but our household income will be significantly reduced during that time.

This surgery isn’t about cosmetics — it’s about health, mobility, and being the mom, partner, and person I want to be. I simply want to live without daily pain and be able to fully enjoy life with my family.

Any support — whether through donating, sharing, or kind words — means more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for helping me take this step toward healing.
