About this fundraiser

Reagan had a neurosurgery appointment to review notes and schedule a fluid sac on her spine to be removed. She has scoliosis, holding at 53% curvature and constantly has back pain. We were told that the fluid sac would need to be removed before any operation can be done to her spine. What we expected to be a conversation of simple fluid removal, turned into finding out that Reagan has Chairi Malformation and would need Neurosurgery.

Chairi Malformation is when the cerebellum pushes against the spinal cord causing spinal fluid to not flow fluidly. This can cause scoliosis, headaches, nausea, dizziness and more. Most people do not realize they have Chairi Malformation until an MRI or CT scan is done. In our case, a car wreck resulted in an MRI, where they found the "sac".

Reagan is scheduled for Neurosurgery August 22nd at USA Women's and Children's. She will go thru her initial recovery for 3-4 weeks. During this time work will be missed and bills will continue. PTO through is not available for the family. She will miss schooling (tuition still due) as well.

We thank all of those who keep us, especially Reagan, in their thoughts and prayers for her upcoming surgery and recovery.

Love you all, thank you all and hug your babies just a little tighter tonight. - A heartbroken but thankful momma
