About this fundraiser

Hi, my name is Laura, and I’m asking for help during one of the hardest chapters of my life.

My story has been what I can only describe as a blessed nightmare. I was born and immediately placed for adoption, and I was incredibly fortunate to be taken in by a loving family who gave me care, stability, and support. Growing up, I faced serious health challenges, enduring over 100 hospital visits before the age of 12—some lasting days, others weeks at a time.

Despite everything, I kept going.

As I got older, a major move from Ohio to California turned my world upside down. The culture shock, combined with unresolved emotions surrounding my adoption, brought on deep mental and emotional struggles that I’ve been working through ever since.

Now, as an adult, I’m trying to rebuild my life from the ground up—but I’m facing overwhelming obstacles.

Due to ongoing health conditions, financial instability, and setbacks at work, I’m in a position where I need help to move forward. I am doing everything I can to regain stability, but right now I don’t have the resources to fully support myself and create a secure foundation.
