My dad was a very resilient and caring man. It's 9 of us in all and one who lives in New York whom me have yet to meet face to face. We would like to unite soon to give our dad a memorial. Our dad use to be on drugs and alcohol but became clean and became a speaker at many AA meetings. He helped many kick their addictions and always told the truth about his decisions and the effects it had on himself and his children. We all forgave him and built a close relationship that continued til his death. He survived two years after 5 strokes and many seizures. We are very thankful to have had him those years. Any help would be greatly appreciated and mean so much to all of us. He was a giving man and would share whatever he had with anyone. Our hope is that people will help us as we are under financial pressures. We are a family from Detroit Michigan who against all odds manage to remain loving and close to each other. Though my dad once abandoned us for drugs and alcohol, He was redeemed by God and eventually got full parental rights for his last 4 children and took care of them even in his older age of 60+.
