About this fundraiser

Robie became really ill October 2025. He was admitted to the hospital for 3 months due to infections and considered severely septic. Ultimately had several emergency surgeries. He found out in October he is a diabetic and also that he has liver cancer. In November, he had a stroke at 37 years old. He has regained the ability to talk and be able to eat due to therapy. Unfortunately the left side of his body is not mobile. Due to the wounds that he had from infections, his only way to be transported to appointments is via stretcher in a non emergency ambulance. His insurance doesn't cover this cost. Thank goodness his job has short term disability but it's not enough to take him to all his appointments and for things his insurance doesn't fully cover like an electric wheel chair. Each trip to the doctor costs him a little under $700 to get there so we've had to choose which appointments are the most important to go to. Due to his infections, they haven't come up with a plan yet for his tumors on his liver. Ultimately , he will need a liver transplant.  He is finally approaching having a treatment plan soon because he's infection free currently. We have found out he'll need a lot of appointments. We're asking for help from friends, family or anyone willing to give even just a little bit so Robie can hopefully continue to make it through this journey. He doesn't have Medicaid at this time or disability.
