Latest update as of Aug 31, 2024

  • Hodgkin's lymphoma

So we got a little update yesterday at Zachary's pday appointment yesterday. They finally got back in the final diagnosis from the National Institute of Heath. Diagnosis has been changed to Hodgkins Lymphoma due to the fact that it has more markers for Hodgkins then Hodgkins. So it is now being defined as Hodgkins instead of grey zone lymphoma-chl. What has changed with his treatment plan is only one of the 5 chemo drugs will be changing and they are adding one more to his regimen. Still stage 3 after his third round of chemo they will do another scan and see if he will require radiation or not. He still has a tough road ahead of him but the over all cure rate is now higher.
His next round of chemo will be this coming Friday September 6th, Zachary and Natalie's their birthday is the 7th so he will be in the hospital for it.

About this fundraiser

August 15, 2024 update Zac will be getting admitted into the hospital Monday atleast a week to start chemo and radiation treatment. His doctor still has not given us the final result of what type of cancer it is yet. She is waiting for confirmation from the National Institute of Health out of Baltimore, Maryland before she tells us as she said it is rare for a child to get. Zac is looking at about 9 months of treatment.

August 7, 2024 Zachary went to the pediatrician due to a lump on his neck. We assumed was a swollen lymph node we were sent for a chest x-ray. After two short hours we were called and sent to the pediatric er then admitted into the children's hospital. Zachary was diagnosed to have cancer. Test showed a baseball sized tumor in the collarbone area and a large mass in his lung cavity roughly a 9"×6". Currently still waiting on the exact diagnosis of what type of cancer. Hoping to get enough answers from the biopsy to start treatment this coming week. We are looking for what ever help that can be given big or small would be greatly appreciated. This can help with medical bills, prescriptions, co-pays, food and gas. Not to mention possible help with time out of work to be with Zachary. No one ever thinks this could happen to them and we are all still learning to accept it.
