  • Surgery In the Morning (1/29)

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an important update on Sarge. He has developed a very serious bone infection, and after further evaluation, the surgeons have determined that his leg will need to be amputated. The infection has completely destroyed his heel and has spread much farther up the bone than they initially hoped. This will require an above-the-knee amputation.

This is one more incredibly difficult hurdle that Sarge never should have had to face. We are so grateful to everyone who has donated and continues to support him through this. Despite everything, Sarge is doing his best to stay in good spirits and is even cracking jokes — his latest: “I’m going to weigh a lot less tomorrow!”

That said, this surgery is a very big deal and will mean a completely new life for Sarge to adapt to. It also sets him back significantly in his hip replacement journey, and he will be out of commission much longer than expected.

Because of these new circumstances, I have raised the fundraiser goal. Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts, for your continued support, generosity, and prayers.

About this fundraiser

Sarge is back in the hospital in a very bad way. He is at risk of losing his leg that he still needs the hip replaced on. He needs our help financially with his rent and bills for at least the next 4 months. He still has a long road to recovery with a lot of surgeries still to come.

He is currently in Dallas having procedures to prevent the loss of his leg and hopefully get his hip replaced for the 3rd time.

Sarge is asking for help from all the artists, venues and entertainers Sarge & Walter Productions have booked in Dallas and Abilene. He mainly booked at Brenda Heffernan's, Heff's Burgers in the mall of Abilene.

Sarge is always there to help others and he desperately needs our help in return. He is asking for prayers if you cannot donate financially.
