On May 21, 2024, there was a tornado outbreak throughout the state of Iowa. And just so happened where I lived one came to visit. It swept over my home, throwing trees on top of my roof, putting holes into it causing water damage inside of my home, it ripped the siding off my house cause a lot of water damage. The ceilings in my home and falling down I’ve lost furniture. my basement flooded so bad that it sank over half of my washer in my dryer therefore, I cannot save them. My water heater was damaged also. Now the mold has started to grow. The moisture has caused the electrical problems. I have tried on my own to fix as much as I can, unfortunately My Health is not easy for me to keep a steady hourly weak position. I live alone and I have a dog that I take care of. He’s been my long friend for a long time. The one person I always had was my daddy and unfortunately three years ago the Covid took my dad‘s life . Since I’ve been alone. I worked very hard for 26 years in this home. I raised four kids. I was married for 26 years to get abandoned and divorced. I do not get any help from my ex. I did not have insurance on my home  due to my ex husband decisions. I have been declared a disaster area. They offered me $5000 to fix a home where the damages exceeded over 30,000. So I been taking priorities the way I feel that they should go. I fix the flooding in the basement because I did not have enough to do the roof. I did not have very good credit so I have been struggling struggling struggling to find someone to help me fix my roof. Every time it rains, the water causing more damage. I’m sad because I can’t have my grandchildren come over to play with grandma. There’s no carpet there’s no regular flooring holes coming in and out of her doorway or in her wall because of the storm that grandma can’t fix. I put over the house And I came to the conclusion where I’m gonna lose my home if I don’t get my roof fixed. The shell of my home needs to be fixed in order for me to work on the inside as I can beautiful upset with myself that I don’t have to fix it. My fix it and the siding was $23,000 and that includes the soffits. The gutters would be lifetime and never have to worry about it. My house would be beautiful and I could sleep at night is not gonna fall and break. I could sleep at night, knowing that no one‘s gonna break no animals no intruders! So I’m asking please help me help me fund the money to fix my home. I need a new roof number one then the siding I also needed a bathroom. The damages have rotted out the ceiling into the floor, and my bathtub has begin to fall through the floor. But I believe that the roof and the siding should be number one I thank you for your help and I just pray that God finds it in your heart to reach out and to help me. I will pay it forward.
