In June of 2021, my incredible mom, Maria Segovia, fell and suffered a fractured hip and soft tissue injuries. This marked the start of a new chapter in her life, one where the challenges of dementia have also begun to take hold. Though her memories are fading and her body is growing frail, the generous and kind spirit that has always defined Maria remains. Her beautiful character continues to be a light for all who know her.

Caring for Maria 24/7 is a family effort, led by myself and my son, with support from two other wonderful caregivers. This round-the-clock care has taken a significant mental and physical toll on us, leaving us with sleepless nights and constant worry.

We are reaching out to our community for help. 

Donations will be used to fund additional caregivers, giving my son and myself much-needed time to rest and recharge. This will ensure we can continue to provide Maria with the loving care she deserves while also protecting our own well-being for the next two year.
