Hi everyone,

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but our sweet dog Sophie is facing a very scary medical situation. Sophie may need one of two major surgeries, both involving organ failure, and the costs are more than our family can manage — even with the pet insurance we have.

Sophie isn’t just a dog to us. She is deeply loved by everyone who meets her. She’s gentle, silly, playful, and has always been full of life and happiness before this suddenly happened. She leaves a mark on people — they genuinely fall in love with her. She’s still our family’s dog, but most of all, she’s my brother Riley and i’s best friend.

I truly can’t imagine life without her, and I don’t want our time with her to be cut shorter than it has to be. She’s such a good girl who just loves playing with her rope bone, chasing fetch in the backyard, and trotting around with her ears bouncing. I miss seeing her happy and pain-free so much.

We are doing everything we can to help Sophie get the care she needs, but we can’t do it alone. Anything helps — truly. Donations, shares, prayers, all of it means more than we can put into words.
